pumpkin patch & patterns

Even though I have been battling an amazing cold, we did manage to make it to the Pumpkin Patch this weekend.  There was talk of going without me, since I was really not well, but I begged the kids and my husband to wait until Sunday and I promised them I would rest and feel better.  I LOVE the pumkin patch.  I really don't know why, but it's one of those things I find myself looking forward to for months, and as soon as it's over I want to go back.  All of that fresh corn, pumpkins ready for picking, and getting lost and found in the cornstalk are all family favorites.  So glad we managed to make it, and so happy that it signifies Halloween is almost here.  Not that I'm really that into Halloween, because I'm not.  The kids like it, so it's fun to watch them, but to me Halloween signifies that Thanksgiving is almost here.  Yes, using one holiday to benchmark another holiday.  And I do loooooove Thanksgiving.

And for the holidays, I've had several inquiries regarding new sewing patterns.  I am happy to announce that the Halter Dress sewing pattern and the ladies' version of the Ruffler Blouse sewing pattern will both be ready to ship by Nov. 10, and the Square Neck Dress sewing pattern will be shipping by Nov. 15 (all three new patterns are available to purchase now on a pre-sale basis).  I am offering a discount for all of you lovely blog readers, 20% off of your purchase of 2 patterns or more (new patterns or old patterns, it's up to you!).  Please just enter coupon code blogfan20 upon checkout.  This coupon is good through Oct. 31.  As of right now, I will only be offering these patterns on my personal site~ I will not be offering these new patterns in the etsy shop.  There are so many more features that my own site offers (like the ability to offer cool promotions like this without having to spend hours setting up reserved listings or refunding discounts through paypal) that it really just makes sense to only offer them here for now.  It's easier for me, and allows me to spend more time creating and less time on the computer... yay!  That may change in the future, but I'd love to give the stand-alone shop a good go before possibly adding them to the etsy shop.

I'm still feeling a bit under the weather, but I know I promised you some photos of pillowcases and projects in progress, and I will get to those just as soon as I can.  Until then, what are you working on?

Hope you are feeling better! Thanks so much for the 20% off - I just purchased 2 patterns and I cannot wait to try the adults ruffler. Do you think it would work with Liberty fabric? I think it may be a little too light.
